Feliz Ano Novo!!! / Happy New Year!!!

Ainda antes de publicar um post acerca da encomenda personalizada que vos prometi, vou dissertar rapídamente acerca do ano que passou e que está a chegar ao fim.

2010 foi um bom ano, no que diz respeito à joalheria. Foi um ano em que aprendi imenso, em que conheci pessoas fantásticas e em que avancei passos de gigante nas minhas capacidades e habilidade. Profissionalmente, estou feliz com o ano 2010. Pessoalmente... Esquece!

Em 2010 iniciei este blog, abri uma loja online, e recentemente abri outra loja online, esta mais a sério na medida em que já me considero mais satisfeita com o meu trabalho. Há poucos dias tornei-me "Pro" nesta loja do Artfire para poder usufruir de todas as facilidades que um pagamento mensal me oferece.

Posto isto, para 2011 só espero que continue a correr tão bem como até aqui, ou melhor ainda, se possível!

A vocês, meus amigos, seguidores e leitores quero deixar o meu agradecimento por estarem aqui, por se interessarem e por gostarem de me ler e conhecer.

 Before publishing the post about the Custom Order I promissed, I'll talk a bit about this past year that is coming to an end.

2010 was a good year, jewelry-wise. It was a year where I learned a lot, I met amazing people, a year that I advanced in leaps and bounds in my abilities and skills.Proffessionally, I very happy with the year 2010. Personally... Nevermind!

In 2010 I started this blog, I opened an online shop, and recentley opened another online shop, this one is the real-thing, since I'm quite happier with my work. A couple of days ago I went "Pro" on Artfire so that I can use all the features they provide for a monthly fee.

That said, for 2011 I can only ask and hope that things go as well, or even better, than so far if possible!

To you my friends, followers and readers I want to thank you for being there, for your interest and for enjoying reading me and getting to know me.

E foi uma vez um Natal... / Once upon a time it was Christmas...

Bom... Para falar a verdade, o que eu sinto é mais do género "E foi uma vez o mês de Dezembro"! Creedo, como este mês passou depressa! Estive sempre tão atarefada que nem dei por ele, pisquei os olhos no fim de Novembro e... Puf! É Natal!

Tenho uma série de novidades para vos contar e mostrar, vamos a ver se me consigo lembrar de todas!

Acho que foi no fim de Outubro que descobri um fornecedor online de pedras semi-preciosas e preciosas fantástico, que me fez cair o queixo e me deixou a babar em frente ao monitor! É claro que num segundo inscrevi-me na newsletter deles e depois não demorei muito a  fazer uma encomenda. Recebi estas maravilhas no princípio de Dezembro, perfeitamente embaladas. O serviço ao cliente de GiveMeMoreBeads é espectacular!

Na primeira foto vêm-se pérolas de água doce em tons dourados, contas olho-de-tigre, contas de ametista e chips de quartzo róseo.

O quartzo, especialmente na tonalidade rosa, é um mineral muito interessante. Tem dois nomes, o que pode confundir os mais incautos: Existe o quartzo rosa e o quartzo róseo. O quartzo róseo exibe tonalidades desde o rosa-pálido até um rosa avermelhado e é mais comum do que a sua forma em cristal, chamada quartzo rosa que é bastante rara. (Tirei esta informação da Wikipedia, mas já a tinha visto antes.)

À segunda foto acrescentei as contas com banho de prata que também encomendei!

Infelizmente tirei estas fotos à noite e não se conseguem ver bem as belas tonalidades das pedras semi-preciosas, mas não perdem pela demora porque tenho fotos fantásticas de peças maravilhosas para vos mostrar!

Uns dias depois também recebi uma encomenda que tinha feito à querida Paula, do Baú da Bijuteria, de onde tirei apenas uma conta de cada para fotografar. Arame, contas de vidro e cristal facetado, contas craqueladas, olho-de-gato e umas adoráveis florzinhas violeta. Com algumas destas contas também já tenho peças feitas!

Também andei a fazer experiências com o meu Wig-Jig... É uma ferramenta admirável que cada vez gosto mais de usar. Dessas experiências saíram umas quantas peças em cobre e estes brincos ondulados que eu adoro.

Os primeiros, com a conta azul clara ofereci-os a uma mamã quando fomos à festa de aniversário do seu filho. Afinal a mãe também faz anos e é tão bom receber um presente inesperado! :)

 De seguida, brinquei um pouco com espirais quadradas e flores de vidro do Baú:

O princípio de Dezembro foi uma altura em que me dediquei a fazer brincos... Era quase só o que me saía das mãos. Brincos e mais brincos, uns atrás dos outros!

Ora vejam a experiência seguinte, ainda com cobre e com contas do Baú. Chamei-lhes "Flor de Laranjeira".

 Gostei tanto que fiz mais estes,que estão listados também na loja com o nome "Ice Globe":

O cobre está rapidamente a tornar-se um dos meus metais preferidos, suplantado apenas pela prata. É facil de trabalhar, não está a subir astronómicamente de preço como a prata e tem colorações quentes e lindas.  Mais ainda, pode ser oxidado para obter efeitos fantásticos!

Ainda com cobre,ou melhor, totalmente em cobre fiz também uns marcadores de livros, especialmente para pequenas ofertas de Natal, mas só tirei fotos a este. Completamente feito à mão, incluindo a espiral e o marcador em si, com uma conta de vidro a decorar. O seguinte foi texturizado com o martelo e outro ainda levou com o martelo até ficar liso e plano.

Entretanto, recebi um pedido para fazer várias peças para ofertas de Natal de que vos falarei num próximo post. Quem me segue no Facebook já sabe do que falo! ;)

Well... To be accurate, I feel it was more like "Once upon a time it was December"! Jeeez, this month flew by! I was so busy all the time that I didn't even notice it, I blinked when it was late November and... Pouf! It's Christmas!

I have a bunch of news to tell you and to show you, let's see if I can remember them all!

I think it was in late October that I first found out about an  amazing online supplier of gemstones, that made my jaw drop and left me drooling over the computer screen! Obviously i signed up for their newsletter in a second and then it didn't take me too long to make my first order. I received these little wonders in the beginning of December, perfectly wrapped. GiveMeMoreBeads customer service is awesome!

In the first photo you can see freshwater potato pearls in golden, Tiger's Eye and amethyst beads and rose quartz chips.

Quartz, especially when it's pink in color, is a very interesting mineral. Apparently it has two names, which can be confusing: there's Rose Quartz and Pink Quartz. Rose Quartz exhibits a  pale pink to rose red hue e and it's more common than it's crystal form, the Pink Quartz which is quite rare. (I got this information from Wikipedia, but I have seen it before.)

To the second photo I added the silver plated brass beads I also purchased!

Unfortunately I shot these photos at night and the pictures don't show the beautiful colors of the gemstones, but don't despair 'cause I have great photos of wonderful pieces to show you!

Some days later I also received the order I had placed with dear Paula, from Baú da Bijuteria, from where I took just a sample bead from each to photograph. Wire, glass and faceted crystal beads, crackled and cat's eye beads and some adorable purple flowers. I have already made pieces with some of these beads!

I have also been experimenting with my Wig-Jig... It's a wonderful tool that I'm appreciating more and more. From this experiments I have a few copper wire pieces and links and these wavy earrings that I really like.

The first ones, with a pale blue bead, I gave them to a mummy on her son's birthday party. After all she's to be congratulated also and it's such a nice feeling to receive an unexpected present! :)

 Next, I played a bit more with square spirals and glass flower beads from Baú:

The beginning of December was a time for earrings... It was all that my hands wanted to make. Earrings and more earrings, one after the other!

Take a look at the next experience design, still with copper wire and the same flowers. I named them  "Orange Blossom".

 I liked it so much that I made another pair with the same design and listed them as "Ice Globe":

Copper is quickly becoming one of my favorite metals, surpassed only by silver. It's easy to work with, it's price isn't going up astronomically like the silver's and it has warm and beautiful colors. Moreover, it can be oxidized to obtain fantastic effects!

Still with copper wire, better yet, completely with copper wire I also made some bookmarks, particularly for small Christmas gifts, but i only took pictures of this one. Totally handmade, including the spiral and the bookmark itself, with an added glass bead to decorate. The next bookmark was textured with my hammer and yet another one was pounded into submission with the hammer, meaning I hammered it until it was flat.

Meanwhile, I received an order to make several pieces for a client to give as Christmas presents, and I'll talk about them in the next post. Those of you who follow me on Facebook already know what I'm talking about! ;)

Colar de Amamentação / Nursing Necklace

 A aldeia global que é a internet possibilita-nos algumas descobertas fantásticas. Eu chamo-lhes os “Momentos Ah-ha!”. São aqueles momentos, em que damos de caras com uma ideia, um conceito ou um produto que nos deixa a pensar e nos faz dizer “Ah-ha! Porque é que não pensei nisto antes!?!”
Já não me lembro como nem porquê mas, há algum tempo tive um momento “Ah-ha!” quando dei de caras com os Colares de Amamentação, uma ideia simples mas inovadora, prática e útil!
E o que é um Colar de Amamentação?
Uma das coisas que as recém-mamãs descobrem rapidamente é que a acção de amamentar o seu bebé além de ser das mais importantes que praticamos nos primeiros dias da sua vida, é também um belo momento cheio de doçura e prazer, sorrisos embevecidos e o suave som do nosso bebé a mamar.
E o que é que acontece quando o nosso lindo bebé começa a explorar o seu maravilhoso mundo novo? Bom... Se for como o meu, e há muitos bebés assim, das duas, uma: ou adormece e pára de mamar, ou distrai-se com sons e movimentos que o fazem parar de mamar e olhar para o outro lado. Qualquer das situações é terrível para a mãe, porque temos aquela sensação de missão, de termos que dar o melhor e fazer o melhor pelo nosso bebé e ele tem que se alimentar para aumentar de peso e... e... O que fazer?
Pouco tempo depois desta fase, vem a fase em que eles agarram e puxam qualquer coisa a que consigam deitar as suas mãozinhas... Seja o fio que a mãe tem ao pescoço (ai que vai partir), uns brincos mais compridos (Ui!), o cabelo (Aiaiaiaiai! Largalargalarga!), a roupa... Enfim... O que fazer?

Oferecer-lhe algo que prenda a sua atenção, que desperte os seus sentidos e em que o bebé possa concentrar a sua atenção enquanto mama: Um colar de amamentação!
Algo seguro, colorido e interessante para o bebé brincar com as mãos, sem correr riscos nem magoar a mãe e sem se distrair a olhar para outro lado porque o colar está ali mesmo, encostado ao corpo quente e confortável da sua mamã!
Calhou eu descobrir isto mais ou menos ao mesmo tempo em que um amigo foi pai. É claro que eu tinha mesmo que fazer um colar destes para a sua linda bebé, chamada Maria Inês – o mesmo nome da minha querida mãe!
Usei contas de vidro cor-de-rosa para a bebé e roxo para a mãe, por ser a sua cor preferida. O arame memória mantém a forma do pendente e o fio de algodão foi enfiado num elo de chainmaille chamado elo em flor, para lhe conferir mais resistência.
Este colar de amamentação é feito para resistir aos puxões que a bebé lhe possa dar e o seu comprimento pode ser alterado facilmente para que seja a mãe a escolher onde quer que o pendente circular de contas coloridas fique. Eu espero que tanto mãe como filha gostem dele e que lhes proporcione muitas horas de doçura e prazer, sorrisos embevecidos e o suave som da Maria Inês a mamar.

The global village that the Internet is, offers us some fantastic discoveries. I call them the "Ah-ha! Moments." These are the moments where we stumble upon an idea, a concept or a product that makes us think and say "Ah-ha! Why didn’t I think of this before!? "
I can’t remember how or why but some time ago I had one of those "Ah-ha! moments" when I stumbled upon the Nursing Necklaces, a simple but innovative idea, practical and useful!
And what’s a nursing necklace?
One of the things that the new mummies quickly find out is that nursing your baby, besides being the most important thing we do in the early days of the baby’s life, is also a beautiful moment filled with sweetness and joy, inebriated smiles and the soothing sounds of our baby nursing.
And what happens when our beautiful baby begins to explore its wonderful new world? Well .. If they’re anything like mine, and there are so many babies like that, one of two things happens: the baby either falls asleep and stops nursing, or gets distracted with sounds and movements that make them stop nursing and look the other way. Either situation is terrible for the mother because we have that sense of mission, that we have to give the best and do the best for our baby and he has to eat to gain weight and... and... What to do?

Give the baby something that holds their attention, that stimulates their senses and in which your baby can focus their attention while nursing: A Nursing Necklace!
Something safe, colorful and interesting for the baby to play with, without risk or harm for the mother or child and without getting distracted and look elsewhere because the necklace is right there, against the mommy’s warm and comfortable body!
It so happened that I found about Nursing Necklaces more or less at the same time than a friend of mine become a daddy. Of course I'd have to make one of these for their beautiful baby girl, named Maria Inês - the same name of my dear mother!

I used pink glass beads for the baby and purple for the  mother, because it's her favorite color. The memory wire keeps the pendant's shape and the cotton cord passes though a chainmaille flower link, so that it has more strength and resistance.
This Nursing Necklace is made to resist the baby’s pulling and tugging  and its length can be easily changed so that the mother can choose where she wants the pendant to rest. I hope both mother and daughter like it and that it gives them many hours of pleasure and sweetness, inebriated smiles and soothing sounds of Maria Ines nursing.

Brincando com outra ágata! / Playing with another agate bead!

Voltei a "brincar" com as contas de ágata e pensei em mostrar-vos o resultado...

Tenho visto vários pendentes deste género ultimamente e decidi atirar-me de cabeça e tentar fazer um, mesmo sem ter lido nada a respeito e sem ter um tutorial ou instruções para seguir.

Acho que não está nada mal para uma primeira tentativa,mas não está tão bom como o próximo vai estar!

I've been seeing a lot of this type of pendants lately and I decided to give it a go, even without reading about it or having a tutorial.
I think it's not bad for a first try, but it's not as good as the next one will be!

Preciosas Ágatas... / Precious Agates

Ágatas... Lindas, delicadas, deliciosas ágatas.

Adoro esta pedra e adoro as contas que comprei, embora não as use como contas, mas antes as trabalhe com o arame para melhor as destacar.

Beautiful, delicate, versatile, delicious... Sounds much better!

I love this stone and I love the beads I bought, tough I don't use them as beads, but rather work with wire and wire wrap the to further enhance their beauty.

Here's the bracelet I made with one agate bead and copper wire, totally handmade.

And here's another passion of mine... A pendant made with another agate bead wrapped with silver plated wire.

O Vôo da Borboleta / The Butterfly's Flight

Na minha primeira tentativa de ter uma loja online, abri um espaço no Artesanum, que é um site para artesãos da Península Ibérica. Neste site descobri uma artesã de vidro portuguesa e apaixonei-me por uma das suas criações. Contactei-a e fiz-lhe um pedido especial de alguns pendentes mas sem buracos porque queria trabalhá-los com arame. Parece-me que a Petit Mignon ficou um pouco surpreendida com o meu pedido mas foi muito simpática e prestável, resolvemos tudo por e-mail e acabei por ter nas mãos três magníficas fatias do enorme talento desta artesã. Obrigada, Petit Mignon! Esta peça não seria possível sem ti.

Umas dessas peças foi este quadrado de vidro (falta-meuma palavra melhor) negro com uma borboleta prateada, preciosamente delicado e lindo!

Aqui está o resultado final do meu trabalho com o arame, inspirado pelo padrão de vôo deliciosamente aleatório das borboletas.

Modéstia à parte, é lindo e... Está vendido!

When I first started trying to sell online, I opened up a space at Artesanum website, which is a site for craftspeople from the Iberian Peninsula. On this site I discovered a Portuguese glass artist and I fell in love with one of her designs. I contacted her and made a special request for a couple of her pendants, but I asked that they didn't have holes because I wanted to wire wrap them. I think Petit Mignon was a bit surprised by my request but she was very nice and helpful and we settled it all through e-mail and I ended up owning three wonderful slices of this artist's great talent. Thank you, Petit Mignon! I couldn't have done it without you.

One of the pieces was this square glass "tile" (lacking a better word for it). It's black with a silver butterfly and it's preciously delicate and gorgeous!

Here's the end result of my wire wrapping, inspired by the deliciously random flight pattern of butterflies...

Modesty aside, it's gorgeous and... It's sold!

Tenho um problema... / I've got a problem...

Eu decidi e está decidido, mas... agora que estou a mudar tudo para DeCris Creations... O que é que eu faço com a página do Facebook?!

I have decided and it is decided, but... Now that I'm changing everything to DeCris Creations... What do I do with the Facebook fan page?!

É Tempo de Mudança / It's Time for a Change

Há já algum tempo que me sinto insatisfeita com o nome que escolhi para as minhas criações. Sunshine foi um nome escolhido no momento de me registar num fórum e a partir daí tentei manter alguma coerência. Acontece que não é sequer um nome original e que, apesar de eu ser um raio de sol de boa disposição (cof cof... gaba-te cesto!), não tem muito a ver comigo.

A juntar a isto a lojinha que abri no site Artesanum não está a ter o resultado esperado: não chega a ser uma loja visto que não dá para se efectuarem compras directamente nela (só dá para contactar o artesão), não consigo ter análises nem estatísticas de visitas, que é a informação mais básica que necessitamos obter de um site, certo? Também não tenho recebido contactos a partir de lá... A única coisa boa que retirei do Artesanum (àparte da experiência, claro) foi ter estabelecido contacto com uma artesã de vidro portuguesa a quem comprei umas peças fantásticas! Enfim, resumindo e concluindo: Vou fechar a loja! Tendo decidido fechar a loja no Artesanum comecei a procurar um novo local onde me estabelecer. O Etsy seria a escolha mais popular, claro, mas para mim tem um grande problema: É que eu não sou americana e a minha moeda não é o dolar, assim sendo a maioria dos meus clientes também não são americanos e a moeda deles também não é o dolar!

Assim sendo fiquei na seguinte situação:

- Preciso de um nome que possa permanecer comigo enquanto evoluo, um nome que mesmo que eu mude tudo continue a ser adequado;

- Preciso de um site onde possa estabelecer a minha loja e que seja adequado à minha realidade e localização geográfica.

Podia, muito simplesmente usar o meu nome mas a ideia não me agrada muito.

Finalmente, depois de meses de deliberação e muitas e longas conversas com o meu marido, decidi-me por um nome: DeCris Creations. É meu, tem o meu nome (o meu nome completo tem "Cris" e "De") e posso criar qualquer coisa com este nome.

Tomada esta dificil decisão, e após longas pesquisas, registei-me no site ArtFire - Handmade Marketplace. É bastante idêntico ao Etsy, com a excepção que converte os valores para a moeda desejada. Infelizmente tenho que inserir os preços em US Dolars, mas o preço é exibido ao cliente na moeda que mais lhe convém. Fantástico, não é?! Para ser perfeito só precisava que me deixassem inserir os preços em Euros que isto de andar a fazer contas e cambios é uma trabalheira!

À minha frente tenho longas horas em frente ao computador: Criar banners e avatars, inserir cada artigo na loja, verificar cambios e medidas, escrever tudo em duas línguas, fazer a ligação entre a loja e todos os locais online onde marco presença... Assim que eu tiver a loja nova razoavelmente apresentável, prometo que faço a inauguração com direito a descontos para os leitores do blog! Fiquem atentos!

For some time now that I am dissatisfied with the name I chose for my creations. Sunshine was a name chosen at the time of registering in a forum and from there on tried to keep some consistency. Turns out it is not even an original name and that, although I am a “Little Miss Sunshine” (cough cough ... talk about blowing my horn!), it has little to do with me.

On top of this, the shop that I opened on the site Artesanum isn’t working out for me: it's not really a shop since you can't buy directly from it (just contact the seller), I can't get analytics or statistics on it, I have no way of knowing even if I have hits, which is the most basic info on a site we should get, right? I have no contacts from there… The only good thing that came from it (apart from the experience, of course) was to have made contact with a Portuguese glass craftswoman from whom I bought some fantastic pieces! Finally, long story short: I'll close the shop! Having decided to close the Artesanum shop I began seeking a new place to set up. Etsy would be the most popular choice, of course, but for me it has one big problem: I am not American and my currency is not the US Dollar, so most of my clients are not Americans and their currency is not the US Dollars!

So I was left in this situation:

- I needed a name that could stay with me while I evolved, even if I changed everything the name would still have to fit.

- I need a website where I can set up my shop and that suits my reality and geographic location.

I could just use my name but I didn't really like that idea.

Finally, after months of deliberation and many a long conversations with my husband, decided on a name: DeCris Creations. It's mine, it has my name (I have both "Cris" and "De" in my full name) and I can create anything under this name.

Having made this difficult decision, and after extensive research, I registered on the site ArtFire - Handmade Marketplace. It’s quite similar to Etsy, but it converts money values into the desired currency. Unfortunately I have to enter the prices in US Dollars, but the price is displayed in the currency that best suits the customer. Amazing, isn’t it?! To be perfect it just needed to allow me to enter the prices in Euro, ‘cause having to do the math and converting currency is a lot of extra work!

Long hours at the computer lye ahead of me: Creating banners and avatars, listing each item in the shop, converting currencies and measurements, writing everything in two languages, making the connection between the shop and all the places where I have an online presence... Once I have the new store fairly presentable, I promise to do the grand opening!... With a sale for blog readers! Stay tuned!

A vida a todo o gás / Life at full throttle

Estou de volta. Acabaram-se as férias... Já há algum tempo, na verdade, mas os acontecimentos atropelaram-se na pressa de terem o seu lugar na minha vida e acabei sem oportunidade de actualizar o blog. Na realidade não actualizei o blog, nem criei novas peças, nem actualizei a loja online, nem a página do Facebook, não ponho os olhos no Twitter há algumas semanas e não tenho visitado os meus amigos dos fóruns!

Tive duas semanas de férias. Na primeira semana fui mesmo de férias com a minha família e foi excelente! Fui para Óbidos, uma cidade medieval que ainda conserva o seu castelo e muralhas, as estradas romanas e as pitorescas casinhas com as suas janelas a transbordar flores para a rua, dentro das muralhas do castelo. Nota-se muito que adoro aquilo? LOL Passo lá as férias desde que me lembro e é um dos meus locais preferidos na Terra! Não muito longe há uma lagoa que desagua no mar, e a vista é linda de cortar a respiração. Infelizmente fartei-me de procurar, e até encontrei umas pedrinhas interessantes, mas nada de Vidro Marinho! Até consegui fazer a minha família esquecer-se da linda vista e andar de nariz apontado ao chão, mas não tivemos sorte. Não há nenhum Vidro Marinho na Lagoa de Óbidos! Eu devia ter adivinhado porque eu fiquei na aldeia mais próxima da Lagoa que fica a 9 km!

Quando regressei das férias passei mais de uma semana a correr de um lado para o outro por causa do início das aulas do meu pequenito... 6 aninhos... É ao olhar para ele que eu vejo o tempo correr desenfreado à minha frente! Foi correr para aqui para comprar livros, correr para ali para comprar o material escolar, mais as senhas de refeição, mais impressos para isto e para aquilo... Ufffff!

Pelo meio da correria ainda consegui meter uma visitinha à praia com direito a juntar à colecção mais alguns pedaços de Vidro Marinho! Wooohoooo!

Recentemente tivemos marés vivas... Quis muito ir à praia mas não consegui. O Sábado e o Domingo haviam de ter 48 horas cada!

Entretanto regressei ao trabalho...

A empresa onde trabalho mudou de instalações, e garanto-vos que não é fácil mudar uma empresa que ocupa cerca de 850 metros quadrados! As primeiras duas semanas de trabalho escaparam-se-me entre os dedos enquanto arrumava e organizava o escritório e as instalações, e tentava recuperar o trabalho das duas semanas que estive de férias.

E o tempo passou...

I'm back! My vacations are over... For quite some time, actually, but the events trampled themselves in the rush to take their place in my life and I ended up with no opportunity to update my blog. Actually I haven't updated the blog, nor created a ton of new pieces, nor updated the online store, or the Facebook page, I haven't set eyes on Twitter for a few weeks and I haven't visited my friends on the forums!

I had two weeks' vacation. On the first week I was really on vacations with my family and it was great! I went to Óbidos, a medieval town that still maintains it's castle and walls, the roman roads and it's picturesque little houses with their windows pouring flowers to the street, inside the castle walls. Can you tell I love it? LOL I have vacationed there for as long as I can remember and it's one of my favorite places on Earth. Not too far away there's a lagoon that ends in the ocean, and the view is just breathtaking to me. I'm sorry to say that I looked and looked, and I picked up some interesting looking pebbles, but no sea glass! lol I got my family to forget about the wonderful view and we were all just looking down at the sand, but no luck. There's just no sea glass at Lagos de Óbidos! I should have guessed since I was staying in the village that's nearest to the lagoon and it's 9 km away. :)

When I came back from my vacations I spent a week running around franticly because schoolstarted for my little guy... 6 years old... It's when Î look at him that I realize time is running rampantly in front of me! It was running this way to buy books, running that way to buy school supplies, over there for meal tickets, somewhere else for this form and that form... Phewww!

Amidst all the running around I managed to squeeze in a litle visit to the beach where I was able to add a few pieces of Sea Glass to my collection! Wooohooo!

Recently we had high tides. I really wanted to go to the beach but I couldn't. I swear Saturdays and Sundays should have 48 hours each!

In the meantime I went back to work...

The company I work for moved and I assure you it's not easy to move a company that occupies about 850 square meters! The first two weeks of work escaped between my fingers as I arranged and organized the office and the facilities, and tried to catch up on the work of the two weeks I wasn't there.

And the time went by...

As for new creations... I'll leave that for the next post!
