Novos brincos / New earrings

Definitivamente, estes últimos tempos têm sido muito produtivos. Provavelmente por causa do meu novo espaço de trabalho, onde é muito mais fácil e confortavel trabalhar em cada peça, ou talvez porque me sinto feliz com os resultados e com o apoio que tenho sentido das pessoas que me rodeiam. O meu querido marido é, sem dúvida, fundamental para que eu me sinta assim! Beijo para ti, amor!

Depois de fazer a Pulseira Lolly, achei que o mesmo tipo de design daria uns brincos adoráveis! Eu falo por mim, que tenho uma certa preferência por brincos compridos, mas acho que estas pequenas delícias dão charme e uma discreta elegancia a quem os usar.

Quando fiz os puxadores para candeeiros do post anterior, partilhei a foto com os meus amigos do forum que mais visito, (até porque foi uma delas que me deu a brilhante ideia) e practicamente todas as respostas que recebi diziam que os puxadores são muito bonitos e que dariam uns brincos lindos. Assim sendo, prometi que faria uns brincos inspirados no design dos puxadores e cá estão eles! Como sempre, acho que posso fazer melhor, no entanto estes brincos de madrepérola azul e contas olho-de-gato estão muito fixes. Fazem-me pensar no Verão! Ou sou eu que já estou com saudades demais?!

As coisas estavam mesmo a correr-me bem por isso decidi atirar-me de cabeça a uma técnica chamada free form wire wrapping, que se poderia traduzir por "embrulhar em arame em estilo livre" mas fica muito melhor em inglês! LOL Juntei ao wire wraping a espiral quadrada e gostei imenso do resultado! Caso se estejam a perguntar porque é que as espirais estão "de costas" uma para a outra, é porque fica muito melhor depois de pendurados nas orelhas do que se estivessem as duas na mesma posição. Confiem em mim! Os brincos querem-se espelhando-se um ao outro.

Definitely, these last days have been very productive. Probably because of my new workspace, where I find it much easier and comfortable to work on each piece, or maybe because I'm happy with the results and with the support I have from the people around me. My dear husband in undoubtedly essential for me to feel this way! Kiss for you, love!

After I made the Lolly Bracelet, I thought the same kind of design would make adorable earrings! I speak for myself, and I do have a soft spot for long earrings, but I think these sweeties lend a discreet charm and elegance to the person wearing them.

When I made the light pulls from the previous post, I shared a photo of them with my forum friends (after all I owe the brilliant idea to one of them) and practically all the answers i received to that post said that the light pulls were very nice and that they would look great as earrings. So, I promised to make earrings inspired by the design of the pulls and here they are! As always, I think I can do better, even tough the blue mother-of-pearl and cat's eye beads look really cool. they remind me of the summer! Or am I just missing it too much?!

Things were really working out for me, so I decided to jump head first into a new technique called free form wire wrapping. I put the squared spiral together with the wire wrapping and I really liked how it turned out!
If you're wondering why the spirals are "back-to-back" with each other, it's because it looks much better when you hang the on your ears than if they were both in the same position. trust me! We want earrings to be mirroring each other.
